FROM THE PRESIDENT

WELCOME TO
THE TORONTO
RED WINGS
WEBSITE.

The Toronto Red Wings were founded by Jack and Carmen Harper and have been in existence since 1955.

As a not-for-profit organization, we rely on fundraising and sponsorship to fund our programs. The strength of any organization is its people. The Toronto Red Wings are fortunate in having so many outstanding individuals who freely contribute their time and energy to help make our organization successful.

To be truly successful as an organization, we must provide a positive learning environment for the players, thereby creating the opportunity for each player to grow both as an athlete and as an individual. Success can be measured in many different ways and the number of wins is only one criteria. The Red Wings Executive believe that only through providing full and varied programs can true success be achieved both on and off the ice. To that end, each team receives three (3) hours of practice ice per week as well as one (1) hour of dry land training.

We expect our players, parent and coaches to conduct themselves with dignity and good sportsmanship both on and off the ice. Each player and parent signs a “Code of Conduct” that represents the philosophy of the Toronto Red Wings organization and they are expected to abide by that Code throughout their time with the Club.

We are proud of our players and of our organization. We continually strive to improve our development and training and do our best to ensure a positive atmosphere.
